Welcome Friend, I'm Savannah

Meet the Photographer
ABOUT ME
I was born in North Carolina, but Nebraska's all I know! Being raised in a small town in the Midwest has given me an ability & appreciation for finding the beauty in the seemingly mundane. I'm a big believer in finding joy in the simplicity of everyday life.
In other words, I romanticize my biweekly grocery runs, coffee shop stops, and walks with my husband, because that's 95% of our life!
When I'm not doing that, I'm traveling (or finding new places to go), spending time with my friends and family, taking our dog Lucca to the dog park, and attempting to grow a tiny garden that consists of some tomatoes and basil-- homemade bruschetta is one of our favorite summer treats.
MY VISION
When it comes to photography, I want to capture moments as they happen--the real, raw you. I want to be a fly on the wall, capturing moments that tug at my heart strings--the gentleness in a hug, the caress of a cheek, the belly laugh that makes you smile so big and snot shoot out of your nose simultaneously.
You know, all the esthetic parts of life.
Along with all the authenticity, I want to create timeless photos that will provide memories for generations yet to come to enjoy. Photos that you'll show to your kids & grandkids when they ask "what were you like when you were younger?"

My Love Story
My husband & I have been together collectively for just over 8 years, and married for over 5. He was my high school sweetheart -- & I was the girl he traveled 6 hours altogether for nearly every weekend while he was in college. We've grown up together, and he is truly both my best friend and life partner. 2024 has been our favorite year together yet, as we welcomed Lucca, our favorite third wheel and snuggle bug, and purchased our first home. We've been in Lincoln 5 years and while we travel frequently, there's no other place (for now) we could see calling home. We're both very involved with our church and love the community God has provided us with. We're eternally grateful for this life God has given us and that we've been able to find each other so young in life.
Little Snippets About me
Favorite food
Chicken Pot pie. This has been my go to answer since I was about 10 and there still isn't hasn't been a comfort food that I've found as a worthy competitor. I will never turn it down.
Favorite movie
La La Land. I have a love hate relationship with it but overall just love.
favorite book series
Harry Potter. I wasn't allowed to read the books until I was 12 and I read the entire series in three days. I listen to the audiobooks at least twice a year.
random skill
I'm freakishly good at picking things up with my feet.
favorite drink
Not trying to be boring, but honestly water. I don't really drink pop, and while I adore coffee, my go to no matter what will always be water.
Best childhood Memory
Growing up my grandma would always take my cousins and I on little adventures--we went to see Blue Man Group, different concert groups, etc she was a music teacher and wanted us to have memories and experiences over material things. And I think that's carried over into adulthood -- I'd rather go to a concert or little trip than a trending bag or brand name clothes.
Biggest pet peeve
When people make wide turns in vehicles that do not require a wide turn. (I have slight driving anxiety) STAY IN YOUR LANE.
something that may surprise you about me
I've played piano since I was three!
